Very fertile soils now under concrete is modern day progress I suppose. Im only 35 now and can't recognize the area. This link takes you to the state library and a real estate ad from the 1920's. I pound per acre, fertile soils and red gum timber. Amazing. I had an ancestor that farmed on the Merri creek (Brunswick Coburg)in the 1850s, and long ago that turned into housing. I wonder if they said the same thing then?Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15589148201453400986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1452959632598071513.post-29416412912939190192013-10-11T12:30:47.237+11:002013-10-11T12:30:47.237+11:00When will the development stop. I love to see the places when they were country towns, plus you also get to see aspects of the landscape that have disappeared such as sand pits, creeks etc.

Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15589148201453400986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1452959632598071513.post-9585740804680249502013-10-04T16:11:55.902+10:002013-10-04T16:11:55.902+10:00Thanks Heather.
